Satán II: Resurrected will be a faithful remaster of the iconic game

Editor’s take: After years of clamoring for every Diablo II remaster, fans should be finally getting what they want. And, combination your fingers, it seems to be what on earth they want: a genuine, respectful remaster, certainly not another awful half-baked update centered Warcraft 3: Reforged.

At BlizzConline, Blizzard officially announced Resurrected most crucial long rumored Diablo II remaster, with the pleasant news that it’s scheduled for release sometime this year. It’s a remaster of both the original event, now more than two decades old, considering that expansion, Lord of Destruction.

Resurrected maintains the gameplay of the original Lucifer II while revamping (or “resurrecting, ” according to Blizzard) the illustrations and interface. Blizzard’s Robert Gallerani described it like this to Kotaku : “70 percent of the look and feel had to be expended on nostalgia, exactly what you remember. Having said that 30 percent is a more modern take, a lot more flourish, more fidelity, things like which unfortunately. ”

Naturally , the biggest change is visual. Not one of the new game’s assets were resurrected without extensive improvements, and many currently being remade from scratch because the original music were lost. The game’s cinematics, about half an hour’s worth, are also remade. In my personal opinion, the popular visuals are very handsome, though in which aren’t quite as dramatic factory-like game’s.

The remaining changes are best described as quality lifestyle improvements. Automatic gold collection has grown to be a toggleable feature, which is a true blessing. The personal stash has increased from a sex by 8 grid to a on by 10 grid (but you may still play inventory Tetris need to want) and the stash can be more quickly shared between characters associated with the same way account. And there are easier item coupon tools, etc .

Resurrected is also touting some popular modernizations. There’s improved multiplayer maintain for up to eight players. You can playing offline if you want, but if you deign that would sign in you’ll have cross-progression and cross-generation play — meaning PS4 and moreover PS5 players can play alongside one another, but not with Xbox players.

Speaking of games consoles, Resurrected will support the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, along with the Switch. At the moment, there’s conflicting information belonging to Xbox One support, so that is a firm maybe. And, of course , there’s PC support: in fact , on HOME PC, you can already pre-order the game for $39. 99 or sign up for the limited Fresh start test coming soon.
