Editor’s take: Polyphony Digital’s upcoming racer Gran Turismo 7 won’t fill its original 2021 target are going to date. It’s a bit of a bummer but rather given the pandemic and Poly’s track record, we’re not entirely taken back by the admission. Here’s to wish the extra development time pushes there from good to great.

Gran Turismo 7 was announced on 06 11, 2020, during the PlayStation 5 unveiling . Despite its name, it’ll be the eighth game in the mainline franchise, what type dates back to the groundbreaking Gran Turismo for the original PlayStation in 97. In a recent GQ interview while using Jim Ryan, president and BOSS of Sony Interactive Entertainment, good Sony rep confirmed that generation challenges related to the pandemic already have pushed the game back from 2021 to 2022.

“With the ongoing pandemic, it’s a dynamic and changing the placement and some critical aspects of game formation have been slowed over the past several months, ” the rep said, promising to relate more specifics on the game’s orgazm date when they become available.

Exitoso Turismo 7 clearly looked the part in its announcement movie trailer last spring, but as with virtually simulation racer, it’ll ultimately gone down to the feel of the game. Advanced graphics don’t mean squat in most cases vehicles don’t handle and behave as they would in the real world. Fortunately, Polyphony Digital has a solid track record when dealing with racing sims.
