Cebu City – The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Central Visayas is proud to announce the re-launching of its Cebu Hub, aimed at reigniting the passion for leadership and collaboration among young leaders in Cebu and across the Philippines. The launch event took place on March 16, Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the American Corner, USC Main Campus.
YSEALI, initiated by the U.S. government, focuses on strengthening leadership development and networking among young people in Southeast Asia. Through various programs and initiatives, YSEALI empowers and connects young leaders in the region, fostering collaboration and cooperation on key issues affecting Southeast Asia.
The re-launching of the YSEALI Cebu Hub aims to provide Cebuano young leaders with opportunities to thrive and make a difference in their communities. The individuals spearheading the revival of the Hub are diverse young leaders who themselves have been recipients of grants, regional workshops, and fellowships, including academic and professional exposure in the United States. Their goal is to encourage more Cebuano leaders to take part and amplify their impact.
Goals of the Hub Mobilization:
Mobilize leaders across the province for impactful collaborations and projects.
Call for volunteers to join as YSEALI Cebu Advocates (Cebu Sugbo-cates) and be part of our vibrant network.
Provide support and mentorship to young leaders and showcase the power of our community.
The re-launch event will feature informative discussions, networking opportunities, and insights into the initiatives and opportunities provided by YSEALI. Attendees will have the chance to learn about specific programs and resources available for young leaders in Cebu, and network with like-minded individuals and potential collaborators.
“Our YSEALI alumni consistently demonstrate exceptional leadership skills everywhere we go, with whatever we do. With the unwavering support of the US Embassy in the Philippines and YSEALI Philippines, we commit to reigniting the passion and commitment of our alumni and stakeholders in amplifying our impacts and sustaining a reliable network of Sugbo-cates or Cebu Advocates." said Angelica Añabeza, YSEALI Cebu Hub Co-Lead. "Our collective focus is on magnifying our impact across the province and throughout the entirety of Central Visayas. This endeavor is a testament to our dedication to transformative leadership, supported by international collaboration.”
Join us in rekindling the spirit of leadership and collaboration among the young leaders of Cebu. As we embark on this journey together, we aim to transform the YSEALI Cebu Hub into a vibrant catalyst for growth, collaboration, and positive impact. We extend our gratitude to our media partner, PR Works, for their invaluable support in amplifying the voices of our leaders and ensuring that our collective mission reaches a wider audience. Together, let's forge a dynamic platform that nurtures the potential of Cebu's young leaders and drives meaningful change.
