A RACY calendar can be a real money spinner for celebs but not for F1 driver Valtteri Bottas – who's been banned from releasing naked photos.
The Finn has rejoined Mercedes as a reserve driver having driven alongside Lewis Hamilton for years before his initial exit.
However, the German side aren't too happy about him stripping down and have jumped in to intervene.
Hunky Bottas is no stranger to taking his clothes off, showing off his bum in the Netflix documentary Drive to Survive and posting snaps of himself swimming naked in a river.
He also released a nude calendar last year – titling it "Bott-ass 2024". All the funds that were raised were donated to Prostate Cancer Research and he reportedly handed £121,000 over for the cause.
But the Silver Arrows now want him to keep his clothes on with the team's boss Toto Wolff suggesting a nude calendar is not in keeping with the team's environment.
He told R365: "We are Mercedes, so maybe the nude calendar is not on anymore.
"So we have said that, but we need to keep him authentic." Wolff added with a smile: "If he wants to keep the ugly mullet, then he should."
But Bottas isn't the only star whose naked shoots have ruffled feathers.
Ola Jordan
Dancer Ola Jordan was at the height of her Strictly fame when her raunchy calendar shoot raised more than a few eyebrows.
In 2015 Ola was pictured in a series of sexy poses, including one in underwear pouring milk over herself and another completely naked in a swimming pool.
Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood was among critics who slammed the shoot as too sexualised saying: "Strictly is a family show, and then you have got Ola pouring milk all over herself with her legs spread."
But Ola's husband and fellow Strictly dancer James Jordan rushed to her defence: "How can he say it's not okay to sell a sexy Christmas calendar, but it's okay to sell his own book telling the world he was a drunken rent boy and call it All Balls and Glitter?"
Feisty Ola also defended her nude photos saying the shoot was a celebration of her return to health after a horror injury that she thought could end her career.
The star had badly injured her knee during Channel 4 ski competition The Jump, and initially feared she would never be able to walk again, let alone dance.
"I had a massive injury last year and I worked really hard to come back to the show," she told the Mirror.
"There's too much focus on the negative rather than the positive. I didn't even know if I'd be able to work again."
And to prove a point she continued to please her fans with sexy calendars for three more years until she quit in 2018 at the age of 36 saying she was now "too old" and would leave stripping off to the Love Islanders.
Kelly Brook
She is the undisputed Queen of the Calendars, wowing fans with her killer curves for 24 years running.
Kelly Brook's calendars fly off the shelves every year, making her the nation's favourite pin up.
But in recent years, Kelly's calendar has included a selection of sizzling new shots – as well as some from previous years.
Some fans were disappointed at the use of 'old' content. But soon that might be all they were left with as Kelly revealed that at the age of 44 she was growing tired of stripping off.
She told The Sun on Sunday: "Today I am happy in myself. I look in the mirror and I smile.
"It's very hard having been a bikini model all through my 20s and then you hit 30 and they still want me to do calendars.
"I'm just not there for the male gaze any more. I'm married and I'm very happy being in my 40s."
Katie Price
Glamour girl Katie Price has raked in millions from calendar shoots over the years, with her ample assets helping her to cash in.
But despite her lucrative career over the decades, Katie is no stranger to money woes.
Her racy calendar company Jordan Trading Ltd was put into liquidation in 2017, owing nearly £200,000 to the taxman.
At its heyday, the firm was worth a staggering £13m thanks to Katie's raunchy shoots.
But not even the taxman can keep Katie down – and the savvy businesswoman knows she can always rely on her fans to help her turn her fortunes around.
Last year as she faced a £3.2m bankruptcy case, Katie went back to her raunchy roots and launched an X-rated 2024 calendar to help boost her coffers.
Katie, 46, charged fans £99.99 for the saucy snaps ahead along with a handwritten message, two exclusive Polaroids and a lipstick kiss across the front.
Another cheaper, version was also available priced from £24.99 on the UK Calendar Girls website.
Laila Rouass
Actress Laila Rouass was one star who claimed she didn't want to strip off for a sexy calendar – but claimed soap bosses forced her into it.
Laila played police detective DI Dale Jackson in Hollyoaks in 2003 – but her time in the show was short-lived.
And in 2020 she accused the show of 'bullying' her after cast member Rachel Adedeji called out alleged racist behaviour on set and discrimination.
She took to social media to say she had also complained to show bosses, adding: "My agent found me something else, I left and you made me pay 10's of thousands of pounds to get out of my contract a couple of months early despite my experiences there…
"When I told you I didn't want to feature in your annual calendar, where we instructed to wear almost nothing, you booked my flight to Spain anyway.
"Your reasoning…'we don't have anyone that looks like you on the show'. The pressure you put on me made me feel helpless and stuck.
"I got on that plane, I took the photos, I felt dirty and weak afterwards but luckily I got another job, paid my way out of the contract (which I've never heard of any actor doing).
"And I wasn't featured in the calendar. It was the best money I spent."
Laila later deleted her Twitter account. Hollyoaks bosses said they were addressing issues that had been brought to their attention and said they had zero tolerance towards racism or discrimination.
Marilyn Monroe
Even today – 63 years after her death – Marilyn Monroe is still the most famous name in Hollywood.
But back in 1949, she was just another struggling young actress trying to make it in Tinseltown.
So with barely a penny to her name and bills to pay, 22-year-old Marilyn agreed to pose nude for photographer Tom Kelley for just $50.
The photos featuring Marilyn against a red velvet backdrop would go on to make up the now-iconic 'Golden Dreams' calendar and also appeared in the first issue of Playboy in 1953.
However, the shoot was to create one of the starlet's first scandals. Marilyn had signed the release on the photos as Mona Monroe. But in 1952 a reporter discovered that the featured beauty was none other than Marilyn Monroe and a scandal broke.
Fox Studio executives panicked and called Marilyn in to ask if it was indeed her. She told them it was and when they asked her to lie, she refused, saying she had no reason to do so.
She released a statement to the press stating she was broke and had posed to pay her bills.
After the confession her fan mail increased dramatically and her latest movie, Clash by Night, opened to big business.

Peter Andre
Aussie singer Peter Andre is King of the sexy calendar with 2025 marking his 30th year of the steamy shoots.
But arguably his most famous offering was in 2020 when fans were left in shock as he shared a picture of his massive bulge.
The Mysterious Girl singer teased his new calendar with a shot of himself in nothing but his underpants.
And fans' eyes were immediately drawn to his rather ample manhood.
But the dad-of-five admitted that actually used some classic trickery to make himself look extra blessed in the trouser department – by shoving a sock down there.
Writing on social media promoting his calendar Pete said: "Which photos would you like to see? ps I obviously realize most of you aren't interested in this but for those who are send your thoughts and screen shot of pic you want included. pps that IS a sock yes."
The Matildas
In 1999 it was just a year away from Sydney hosting the biggest sporting event in the world.
And Australia's women's football team were determined to score themselves millions of fans at their home Olympic Games – except nobody really knew who they were.
Women's football had only been made an Olympic sport in Atlanta three years previously and the Aussie team – the Matildas – didn't even qualify.
So to try and gain some media coverage and sponsorship ahead of the games, the women decided to do a nude calendar.
And it certainly made an impact – not necessarily in the way the team had intended.
"Whatever next?" one Sydney columnist wrote at the time, "a lap dance of honour at the Olympics? A free trip to a massage parlour with every season ticket?"
There was a subsequent investigation into the Australian Women's Soccer Association over financial mismanagement but, initially at least, the calendar boosted the girls' bank balances, profile and attendance – pulling in 10,000 to the team's home matches.
Sarah Jayne Dunn
Stunning Sarah Jayne famously got the boot from Hollyoaks when she refused to give up her money-spinning OnlyFans account.
Sarah, who played Mandy Richardson in the soap, said she joined the site to take back power over her images.
But soap bosses said they didn't allow cast members "to be active on certain 18+ websites" due to their young audience.
Sarah hit back saying her images on the website were no more explicit or x-rated than the ones she'd done in the past for Hollyoaks' own official calendar.
And she told The Sun that shooting the show's racy calendar wasn't a positive experience.
"You would get pitted against other girls," she said. "It would be like, 'You're not on the cover this year', or you would be feeling guilty because you were on the cover.
"It is not a nice thing."
