Michelle McKenna joined three-piece group Platnum in 2004, with the group shooting to fame with the iconic What's It Gonna Be alongside H "Two" O.

The song reached number two in the charts in 2008,

Joined by Aaron Evers and Mina Poli, Platnum released music and often appeared on tracks with other artists.

At the height of their fame, they also toured with NDubz, with Michelle remaining good friends with Tulisa Contostavlos.

But What's It Gonna Be? is what shot them to superstardom, forging them as standout players on the garage music circuit.

Now, Michelle is releasing her own material, dropping her solo single Darkest Hour in July last year.

Married to property developer Daniel Johnson, Michelle now has a five-year-old daughter who she lavishes with treats.

She also continues to tour around the world at club nights, RnB events and festivals.

For Valentine's Day this year, Michelle made a special appearance on radio channel Kisstory, performing her hits and still having that star power she had 17 years ago.

Fans were delighted to see the star, saying she 'hadn't aged a day' and looked as glam as ever.

Taking to instagram, one wrote: "Aww this takes me back to my high school days, when life was sweet back then and the music was the best, still a class tune ❤"

"The real ogs remember what it was like waking up in the morning on a Saturday put on stars TV and listening to this," said another.

"I'd say @michelleplatnum and @leannesweetfa are the garage queens when it comes to vocal range and talent!!!" said another.

Michelle also joked about her former style with one fan who couldn't believe it was her, telling them: "yeah watch the vid hahaha I'm the t**t with the quiff 😩😩😩😩😩 if only I could go back in time 🫣😭😭🤣🤣🤣"
