MOVIE fans were left stunned when they spotted Jennifer Love Hewitt in the trailer for the reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer.
The iconic 1990s slasher flick helped propel Jennifer to superstardom and now she's returning for the reboot.




I Know What You Did Last Summer debuted to audiences in 1997 and followed a group of teens picked off my a revenge-obsessed killer in the seaside town of Southport.
In the new trailer for the reboot, a young couple (Madelyn Cline and Joshua Orpin) are shown enjoying a relaxing night – including a bubble bath and noise-cancelling headphones.
Things take a terrifying turn, however, when a cloaked killer enters the premises and kills the husband in a gory manner.
The trailer then spins into a hectic sequence of events, showing other people in the friendship group get stalked and killed by the murderer.
Jennifer is spotted towards the end of the trailer when her character, Julie, is approached by one of the women in the targeted group, asking for her help.
"I just have one question… what did you do last summer?" Julie asks her ominously.
Fans reacted to seeing Jennifer in the comments section of the trailer on YouTube.
"It looks intense and suspenseful, like the original Jennifer Love Hewitt looks great," wrote one movie lover.
Another added: "Freddie and Jenny are back and barely looked aged besides the gray hairs. I'm sure Sarah will at least have a flashback scene."
And a third wrote: "28 years later…Jennifer Love Hewitt still got it."
Another star from the original movie, Freddie Prinze Jr, is also returning to the reboot and stars in the trailer as Ray.
Speaking in the trailer, Ray says to a town hall meeting about the murders: "This isn't the first time there has been violence like this in Southport."
Penned by Scream writer Kevin Williamson, the original film also starred Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Philippe.
Jennifer and Freddie previously returned for 1998's straight-to-video sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.
