BBC Radio 1 star gives birth to second child as she reveals adorable name and shares first snap

BBC Radio 1 presenter Roisin Hastie has given birth to her second child as she revealed their adorable name.

The radio star took to Instagram to pose with her sweet newborn after sharing the news with her fans and Radio 1 listeners.

Roisin's husband, producer Jimmy Blake wrote a joint post on their behalf and paid tribute to his wife.

He told their followers on Instagram: "LIIIIIIIIFE!

"Too many feelings to handle, but our little world is so, so full. Welcome along, Arlo.

"Rosie, I will never be able to get over what you just did. Bloody hell. ARLO!!! X"

Rosie's delighted friends and fans took to the comments section to congratulate her, including co-stars Charlie Hedges.

Charlie wrote: "Awwww lovely news, congratulations to you all xxx"

BBC Radio reporter Bettwyn Clover penned: "Congratulations you wonderful people!!!! Rosie you're an absolute superhero, welcome to the world Arlo"

Rosie works alongside Radio 1 DJ Greg James and he also congratulated her live on the radio.

Greg shared more details from Roisin's gruelling labour, after a call from Jimmy.

He said: "Can I talk about my ex Roisin Hastie.

"We've got some breaking news, we've got breaking news.

"I've just heard from her wonderful husband Jimmy Blake that Roisin has given birth to her wonderful little baby boy Arlo.

"Lovely Arlo finally arrived at 4.55 this morning.

"Lovely Rosie who is still going to be doing the breakfast news when she's back off maternity leave.

"A 37 hour labour. 37 hours! I want to big up the midwives, Eve and Gemma who were apparently there the whole way through.

"And I'm going to make Arlo star listener!"
