SAM Thompson has finally spoken out after his ex Zara McDermott started dating One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson.
And he's revealed what he'll say to the megastar when he sees him on the pitch at Soccer Aid.
The former I'm A Celeb king will join Louis for this year's Soccer Aid, raising money for UNICEF.
Made In Chelsea star Sam split from Zara four months ago, and is now set to play on the same side as her new boyfriend in next month's charity match.
Speaking out about the potentially awkward meet-up for the first time, Sam admitted: "I've never met Louis.
"But the moment I see him, I'll be like, 'mate, how amazing is this what we're doing? And hopefully we can make as much money as possible'.
"And I imagine – from what I hear is a really lovely bloke – I imagine the reply will be exactly the same."
But Sam couldn't resist a subtle dig at Zara and Louis's relationship, choosing to label it a "hook-up" rather than anything serious.
"It's a charity football game and everyone will have a smile on their face," he added to The Mirror.
"Everybody is doing it for a cause that is far beyond relationships and who's hooking up with who and all that kind of stuff. Football brings everyone together."
Wayne Rooney will be Soccer Aid's England boss alongside boxer Tyson Fury.
Speaking about the game on their podcast, Staying Relevant, his pal Pete Wicks joked that Sam will need to get Tyson on side in case there are any rivalries on the pitch.
Sam said: "I'm really looking forward to playing alongside Wayne Rooney. Tyson Fury's the manager. I can't wait."
Sensing the tension, Pete smirked: "I mean, that's gonna be f***** amazing.
"Make sure you get him on side though, because you may need him in your corner in case you fall out with anyone."
The Sun revealed in March that Love Island's Zara, 28, and the former One Direction star, 33, were an item after being spotted on dates and holidaying together.
They officially went public last week when Louis supported his girlfriend in the comments of an Instagram post about her documentary making.
Louis was quick to praise his reality star girlfriend, writing: "Proud of you x"
Sam also addressed the rumours surrounding his new romance with Samie Elishi earlier today, hitting back over a 'fake' row.
Sam admitted to feeling nervous about going on his first date since becoming single, turning to Pete for advice.
He said: "I went on the first date that I've had since I've been single recently and I was so nervous that I messaged Pete, and it was the sweetest thing ever.
"But Pete basically sent me a list of what I had to do."
