And according to a source, they 'don't want to over-expose themselves to each other,' during the tour.

As a result, they've been staying in separate residences after their gigs.

But fans have now found a photo of the two music legends together backstage – the first backstage sighting of the pair together.

Shared on Reddit, Noel and Liam can be seen standing either side of two young fans outside.

Noel is wearing sunglasses and stands with an arm around one of the boys, and Liam on the other side looks animated as he holds his arm up in the air.

"Never thought I'd see a picture of Noel and Liam where they are more excited than anyone else in it," one fan joked.

Another said: "Those lucky lads, im happy they met their heroes," and a third penned: "Love that they still pose the same way it's adorable."

Others speculated that things "must be going well on tour" between the two brothers.

A source recently opened up to The Sun on Sunday about their post-gig living situations.

They said: "Having separate residences is the best option so they can relax in their own space.

"They stayed in separate locations outside the city around half an hour away from each other.

"They're happy families at the moment and they want to keep it that way.

"Liam has been off the booze for a while and sounds better than ever.

"He wants eight hours' sleep every night and is avoiding boozing and partying altogether.

"Liam's clean-living is working wonders too.

"Everyone's been really impressed — they're determined to stay focused on making the magic happen on stage."

Liam's partner Debbie Gwyther has been pivotal in keeping him focused ahead of the reunion dates.

The source added: "Debbie protects him from all the hype so he doesn't get carried away.

"They've swapped out Guinness for zero per cent alcohol beers and keep the vibe backstage as chilled as possible."

Meanwhile, the brothers have defied killjoy council bosses who tried to stop fans congregating on Heaton Park's "Gallagher Hill" for Oasis' triumphant final concert.

The pair went to special lengths to honour those gathered there, including paying for 1,000 special T-shirts which were handed out to delighted fans during last night's show.

A source said: "Noel and Liam wanted to do something to honour their fans who'd been given a kick in the teeth from the council.

"Their fans had gathered on the hill to listen to the show if they didn't have tickets and those in a good position could get a sight of the screens until the council bores tried to stop the fun.

"Noel and Liam wanted to make a point to their fans who couldn't get tickets so had these T-shirts made especially for them.

"They could only get 1,000 printed in the short space of time they had but their teams pulled it off and their fans were delighted.

"It was a gesture of defiance from them and they wanted to show the fans who came to Gallagher Hill each night that they were just as important as those who were lucky enough to get their hands on a ticket."

Noel and Liam, who played five huge shows at Heaton Park, also made a point of calling out to their loyal supporters on Gallagher Hill.

During the final two concerts over the weekend, Liam shouted out to those gathered there before playing their fifth track on the set list, 1994's Bring It On Down.
