Kelley is also known for her roles as Alice in Broadcast Signal Intrusion and Penelope Jacobs in Season 8 of Chicago Med.

And earlier this year – before her devastating cancer diagnosis – she starred alongside Inbetweeners actor Joe Thomas in comedy drama movie Universal.

The star's death was announced in an Instagram post on her page, reading: "It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley.

"Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.

"Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present.

"Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies.

"She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express."

Kelley previously revealed that she was undergoing aggressive treatment after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last September.

Kelley's friends and former colleagues flocked to the comments section underneath the post to express their sadness at the actress's passing.

One wrote: "This girl was SO special. My heart is so broken."

Her character "Addy" appeared on The Walking Dead for a year between 2018 – 2019.

Her other TV roles include 9-1-1, Chicago Med and The College Tapes.
