READING Festival fans have slammed one of the star artists who cancelled their set at the last minute.

She originally blamed it on a 'schedule conflict,' but then the star was spotted partying at Notting Hill Carnival.

However, fans on Reddit noticed that she was at Notting Hill Carnival[/caption]

On Friday 22nd August, Lola Young, was set to take to the stage at Reading Festival.

She was also meant to take to the stage the following day at the sister festival in Leeds.

However, the star left bosses scrambling as she pulled out just days beforehand despite being advertised on the lineup.

Headliners who performed included Chappell Roan, Hozier, Bring Me The Horizon and Travis Scott.

The organisers took to social media at the time as they announced that the star would no longer participate.

They wrote: "Due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict, Lola Young will not be performing at R&L (Reading and Leeds) 2025.

They added: "We would like to apologise for any disappointment."

However, fans were left angered when they apparently saw her partying at Notting Hill Carnival this past weekend as she posted on her Instagram story.

Taking to Reddit, one user posted comparison images as they shared the statement combined with a screenshot from her profile.

Music enthusiasts took to the comments section in droves as they lambasted the star for the apparent blunder.

One wrote: "Just saw this on insta, and her story yesterday of her makeup.

"Just feels really sad and as if her fans are unimportant to her. What kind of "scheduling conflict" was this? B*."

A second seemed to agree as they claimed: "Wanted the bank holiday weekend to hang out with friends."

While a third commented: "It just makes a mockery of it all really, it's sad to see her cancelling purely for what seems like some sort of jolly."

Festival Essentials

FESTIVAL season is upon us - and if you're a camping first-timer, here's the five items you mustn't forget.

  • Tent
  • Sleeping bag
  • Roll mat or air bed
  • Camping chair
  • Torch

"Pulling out of a festival due to "conflicts" and then just p****** about is low. Really low," fumed a fourth.

And someone else added: "Unavoidable scheduling conflicts" aka "not wanting to do what she said she would". If it was a genuine conflict you'd say what it was."

A sixth user simply posted another screenshot from her Instagram story which showed the star facing away from the camera with the caption "Carnival ready."

The Sun has reached out to Lola's representative for comment.
