EGO Nwodim is leaving Saturday Night Live after seven seasons.
The beloved SNL comic, 37, made the announcement on her Instagram page on Friday morning, September 12, claiming "the hardest part of a great party is knowing when to say goodnight."

"After seven unforgettable seasons, I have decided to leave SNL," she wrote, before thanking SNL boss Lorne Michaels.
"I am immensely grateful to Lorne for the opportunity, to my castmates, the writers, and the crew for their brilliance, support, and friendship.
"Week after week on that stage taught me more than I could have ever imagined, and I will carry those memories, and that laughter, with me always.
"Now invite me to your weddings please!" she concluded, seemingly alluding to her new availability on Saturday evenings.
Fellow SNL stars and other celebrities immediately poured into her comments to express their shock and gratitude.
"I just texted you but I also want to say it loud and proud here: it was an honor and total joy to get to work with you. One of the best to ever do it," former co-star Cecily Strong wrote.
"What??? I will miss this!!!! But congrats!" pal and Today host Jenna Bush Hager responded.
"You've given so many of us so much laughter and a master class in how it's done. Take a bow sis!!" celebrity chef Padma Lakshmi said.
Ego stole scenes with her characters Lisa from Temecula and Weekend Update guest Miss Eggy.
As Weekend Update guest Miss Eggy, she made headlines by accidentally encouraging the audience to curse on live TV.
And during her first appearance as Lisa from Temecula in 2023, she broke host Pedro Pascal, who could not stop cracking up at her wild physical comedy.
Ego has also starred as an actress on TV shows like Poker Face and Mr. Throwback.
CAST SHAKEUP
Ego's exit marks just the latest in a major SNL cast shakeup ahead of the Season 51 premiere in October.
Michael Longfellow, Emil Wakim and Devon Walker all announced their departures from the show, and longtime show vet Heidi Gardner is reportedly also not returning.
Longtime writers Celeste Yim and Rosebud Baker also revealed they will not be back for the new season in heartfelt farewell posts.
"Me and the show did three years together, and sometimes it was really cool," Devon wrote.
"Sometimes it was toxic as well. But we did what we made the most of it what it was, even amidst all of the dysfunction.
"We made a f**ked up lil family."
The show also announced five new cast members have joined the team.
Comics Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska will be fresh faces on the cast when Season 51 kicks off on October 4.
