ALT-ROCK '90s icons have taken TikTok by storm with a very different look – over three decades after their huge success.

The grunge gods are back on the rock scene with their first new album in 13 years – but can you guess who they are?

Looking a million miles away from how fans remembered them, the matured rockers have captivated followers on social media with their musical blast from the past.

Rocking out their classic song, fans couldn't believe how much they've changed – but how good they still sound.

They first smashed onto the scene in 1991 with their debut album, Pocket Full of Kryptonite.

The American alternative rock band from New York is best known for their 90s hits Two Princes and Little Miss Can't Be Wrong.

The tracks peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 7 and No. 17, respectively.

They are, of course, Spin Doctors.

The band features Chris Barron on lead vocals, Eric Schenkman on guitar and vocals, Aaron Comess on drums and keyboards – and new bass player Jack Daley.

The 57-year-old frontman wrote on TikTok: "In the studio with Spin Doctors."

He continued: "Much love to @Musora for having us in studio. Catch the whole session now on."

Thrilled fans commented: "Still sounds like it could've been written yesterday."

A second mused: "I want to go back to the 90s."

"Back to summer of '93," reminisced a third.

"This song always puts me in a good mood," admitted a fourth.

"You guys still sound awesome!" praised another fan.

"I feel so old," admitted a fan.

"God damn it, even the Spin Doctors are old now. I hate getting old," moaned another.

In 2011, the group marked two decades since the release of Pocket Full of Kryptonite with a tour that stretched across the UK and the US.

That same year, Sony Legacy issued a special 20th-anniversary edition of the album on August 29, complete with bonus tracks.

Two years later, in April 2013, they unveiled their sixth studio record, If the River Was Whiskey.

In January 2022, the band split with founding bassist Mark White after 33 years, due to his refusal to comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirements and have the jabs.

The following month, they announced that former Lenny Kravitz bassist Jack Daley had officially become a permanent member of the group.

Earlier this year, the group dropped Still a Gorilla – their first new single in more than ten years – alongside news of their upcoming album Face Full of Cake.

Lead singer Chris Barron recently opened up about his feelings towards the band's former label – and being sidelined in favour of Pearl Jam.

He told Rolling Stone Now podcast: "I still can't listen to Pearl Jam. No offence to anybody who likes Pearl Jam, but I just can't do it."

He explained: "We would get to a town and back then they had these like little newspapers, the local rag and I'd open it up and there'd be like a full page ad of Pearl Jam's gig and Pearl Jam's record.

"And you couldn't find the Spin Doctors anywhere. You'd go to the record store, it'd be a big Pearl Jam display and one copy of our record. It was maddening."
