KATIE Price's boyfriend JJ Slater has addressed the couple's intended "his and hers" cosmetic surgery in Turkey.
The former glamour model, 47, and MAFS UK star JJ, 32, had planned to go under the knife together, but he was banned from having an op.
JJ was forced to change his plans due to his Type 1 diabetes.
Speaking on behalf of Casino.org, JJ shared: "I went to Turkey to have the bags under my eyes done, but I couldn't have it done.
"I was all in the gown, wearing the knee-high socks, ready to go down.
"But my blood sugars were flagged. I got diagnosed with type 1 diabetes after the show, actually.
"So yeah, my blood sugars, there was a reading in my blood that they weren't happy with, so they didn't do the procedure. So recovery was fine, as it didn't happen."
JJ also opened up about how his diabetes diagnosis has changed his life.
He said: "That's another major thing that has happened since the show: being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
"That diagnosis was definitely one of the biggest life-changing things since the show.
"Type 1 is an autoimmune disease, so I've done a lot of research into it.
"One of the potential triggers can be stress – not scientifically proven, but it does make you wonder, given everything going on around that time.
"I was 31, had never had any issues before, and suddenly I was really ill for about two months.
"But being a typical bloke, I just ignored it, thinking it would go away. But then, when I did get really ill, my dad was like, mate, you've got to get yourself to the hospital.
"I went down to the hospital and was diagnosed. So that was a huge change. I lost nearly two stone, and I was really thirsty.
"It's a bit disgusting, but I was also passing blood in my urine.
"That was the biggest trigger for me – that was when I told myself I had to get myself to get checked out.
"But since then, it has helped me. Now I'm more focused on what I eat because I have to, and I try to be a lot healthier.
"That was the main reason Kate and I started talking because she reached out and basically said, I'm really sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
"Now it's just a day-to-day thing. I want to get involved with diabetes charities. It's given me a purpose to work towards."
Last month, Katie revealed that JJ had gotten a "hair transplant" in Turkey.
She filmed her beau and shared the video on Snapchat as he underwent a Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP).
Katie claimed they went along to the clinic "not knowing JJ was going to get this done" or fully understanding what exactly the procedure might be.
It came after the couple faced split rumours earlier this year.

2019 – After jetting to Turkey, Katie had a face, eye and eyelid lift, Brazilian bum lift and a tummy tuck
2020 – Katie has her 12th boob job in Belgium to correct botched surgery and a new set of veneers
2021 – In a complete body overhaul, she opts for eye and lip lifts, liposuction under her chin, fat injected into her bum and full body liposuction
2022 – Katie undergoes another brow and eye lift-and undergoes 'biggest ever' boob job in Belgium, her 16th in total
2023 – Opting for a second rhinoplasty, Katie also gets a lip lift at the same time as well as new lip filler throughout the year
2024 – Katie has her 17th boob job in Brussels after revealing she wanted to downsize. She performed at Dublin Pride just days later and surgeons warned the lack of recovery posed a risk of infection
Katie spoke to Celebs Go Dating expert Paul C. Brunson on the latest episode of his podcast in which she also revealed the reason behind her divorce from Peter Andre.
But when Paul told her she should feel "happy" and "free" with a partner, Katie made a surprise admission and said: "I've never had that in any relationship. Never had any of them.
"And JJ, he's the most kind, genuine, easygoing, chilled person. But do I feel my happiest and do I feel free? No.
"It's not a reflection on him, maybe that's what I need to change for myself."
