SHE is the ultimate diva and queen of Christmas, but Mariah Carey might have competition – from her own daughter.
I can reveal that Monroe, who is just 14, is being developed as a pop star to follow in the footsteps of her powerhouse vocalist mum.

Mariah, who scored her 20th Top 40 album on Friday with her latest record Here For It All, has filed papers to ringfence Monroe Carey's name and stop anyone else cashing in.
Through her firm Lotion LLC, the Touch My Body singer has asked lawyers at the US Patent and Trademark Office for legal protection to reserve the name for everything from live musical performances and audiovisual recordings to music videos and "other entertainment information".
'A brilliant voice'
And she's already got merchandise covered with a request to be allowed to use the name for "clothing, headwear, merchandise to promote a musical artist".
The application is now being processed by lawyers at the government department.
A music insider said: "Mariah has a wealth of experience in the industry and was cautious when Monroe suggested she would like to be a musician.
"But she knows it's what she wants to do and she's fully supporting her and doing everything she can to help.
"Monroe doesn't want to just use her mum's little black book to make it as a singer, but her guidance has been invaluable.
"It's early days but she's been in the studio trying things out.
"She's got a brilliant voice and if things go to plan it won't be too long before the world hears it."
Mariah, a five-time Grammy winner, shares Monroe and twin brother Moroccan with comedian Nick Cannon, who she was married to from 2008 to 2016.
I've seen Monroe make a couple of appearances on stage with her mum in the past and she's shared a handful of clips of herself singing on TikTok.
And in 2023, Kim Kardashian posted a video of Mariah singing a duet of Jesus Born On This Day with Monroe at a US concert.
The chart-topper will kick off a Christmas residency in Vegas next month, so I won't be surprised if we see more collaborations on stage there.

NAOMI'S DECKS APPEAL
MOVE over Paris Hilton – there's a new model DJ in town.
Naomi Campbell got the party started by jumping behind the decks at the opening of new New York Italian restaurant Carbone in Dubai.

The star looked effortlessly cool in a metallic dress and statement long black hair.
Also at the VIP bash was rapper Central Cee, model Iris Law and Liam Gallagher's son Lennon.
Money is clearly no object for posh hotel Atlantis: The Royal On The Palm.
Back in 2023, it celebrated its grand opening by hosting a Beyonce concert for guests, complete with a lavish fireworks.
Rooms there cost upwards of £500 a night so while I'm sure it's stunning inside, I'll sadly have to give it a miss.
JUSTIN ON COURSE
JUSTIN BIEBER has stunned fans by ditching Los Angeles for Scotland . . . well, kind of.
The Sorry singer is currently enjoying a well-earned break in St Andrews after releasing two bumper albums this summer.

Dressed down, Justin posed with a trusty bottle of beer and his tongue poking out, as he was snapped roaming the town's cobbled streets.
The Canadian star has checked into the posh Gleneagles resort with his mates for a fancy golfing holiday.
The getaway has long been popular with golf-loving stars, with everyone from Liam Gallagher and Jennifer Lawrence to John Travolta and Catherine Zeta-Jones staying there over the years.
Hopefully next time Justin is in the UK it'll be to perform.
It's been too long.
LEWIS'S STUDIO IS TEA-RIFFIC

LEWIS CAPALDI is such a good host he's installing a tea-making station in his new music studio – despite the fact he hates the stuff.
I've seen the plans for the swish recording studio that is being built in his £1.6million mansion near Glasgow and there's a special "tea prep" area marked on the drawings.
The room will be lined with book- cases, flanked by balconies on two sides, and have the all-important area to make a nice cuppa.
But it doesn't sound like Lewis, inset, will be getting much joy out of it.
He previously admitted: "I don't drink tea because warm drinks make me sweat. And I don't really like iced tea – I don't like warm drinks that are made to be cold. But if I was to drink it, I'd have milk, two sugars."
Perhaps you're better off sticking to water when you're in the studio then, Lew.
THE Bizarre team are big fans of Pitbull and now he's landed his biggest UK show to date, headlining BST Hyde Park in London on July 10 with support from Kesha.
That's not all, as they will also be performing at Roundhay Festival in Leeds on July 3 next year, with Pitbull also doing gigs in Belfast, Glasgow, Dublin and Limerick at around the same time.
FIREWORKS AS RYAN JOINS KATY

KATY PERRY has started working on new music – and OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder is giving her a helping hand.
The Firework singer, whose UK Lifetimes tour kicked off in Belfast on Saturday, has been in the studio with the US singer/songwriter who has worked on megahits for Beyonce and Taylor Swift.
After a fan wrote on X/Twitter that they'd like to see Ryan get involved with her seventh album, he replied with a wink emoji: "We had some sessions – we'll see."
Expanding on that after fans went wild at the admission, the OneRepublic frontman added: "We did some sessions, she's a friend – I've known her since she was 16.
"Sessions don't always equal an album, but she's the best and an icon and I always want her to win."
ROD'S WILD NIGHT

SIR ROD STEWART can still party harder than most people half his age.
The Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? singer wore a bright orange jacket to host a wild Las Vegas party to celebrate his whisky brand Wolfie's two-year anniversary.
One party-goer told me how Rod was still going strong in the wee small hours, doing whisky shots and hardly ever without a cocktail in his hand.
The singer even belted out his hit Maggie May – though he stunned guests by making crude jokes about wanting to get down and dirty with Maggie.
A fellow guest said: "Rod was the life and soul of the party – he can still party with the best of them."
TURNS out Queen rocker Brian May is a Little Monster.
The music legend was spotted at night three of Lady Gaga's London O2 Arena shows.
And he couldn't resist filming some of the Mayhem Ball on his phone.
Turns out his favourite songs were Paparazzi, Perfect Celebrity and Killah.
On Saturday Gaga headlined her final O2 gig ahead of two shows in Manchester this week.
She also told the Late Show With Stephen Colbert that her dream is to become a mum, adding: "Hopefully that's my next starring role."
TAY TAKES ANOTHER RECORD

TAYLOR SWIFT just cannot stop breaking records.
The superstar's new lead single The Fate Of Ophelia has broken the record for the most streams in a single day.
The track from her new 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, which was released on Friday, clocked up over 30million global streams in 24 hours.
The figure is 5million more than her last lead single, Fortnight, managed back in 2024.
The popularity of her new song is likely due to it being about Taylor falling in love with her fiancé, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Meanwhile, The Life Of A Showgirl could be on its way to becoming the best-selling album of the year after it sold 266,960 copies in its first day in the UK alone.
In comparison, her last album The Tortured Poets Department sold 270,000 in its first week.
Despite only having 12 tracks, which is uncharacteristically small for Taylor, The Life Of A Showgirl was streamed 250million times globally on its first day.
But if you are hoping to see the album performed live anytime soon then I have bad news.
Taylor says she is still exhausted from her massive Eras Tour – the highest-grossing of all time – and has zero plans to go back on the road.
I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
AFTER JADE sampled Diana Ross on her new album, former Spice Girl Mel C is following suit.
Sporty Spice uses Diana's 1981 song Work That Body for her new single Sweat.
Mel has teased the track on social media but she many not make much off it even if it's a hit.
Jade used Stop! In The Name Of Love by Diana and The Supremes on her song Before You Break My Heart, but she said: "I am getting no royalties for that track – that's how I got it."
Let's hope Mel will be better off.
