We have the first trailer for the movie adaptation of famous Finnish epic
KALEVALA titled
THE STORY OF KULLERVO which should hit their cinemas
January 16th next year. Set in the 11th century Kalevala, we follow the ill-fated Kullervo (
Elias Salonen). Growing up in the aftermath of the massacre of his entire tribe, Kullervo comes to realise that the same people who brought him up, the tribe of Untamo, were also the ones who slayed his family. As a child, he was sold into slavery, mocked and tormented. When he finally runs away from his masters, he discovers surviving members
