THERE was always going to be a heavy weight on the shoulders of Madonna's eldest child Lourdes Leon when she launched a music career.
But no one could accuse her of riding on her mum's coattails when she played her latest gig – a £7.50-a-ticket show on an industrial estate in South London.

Bizarre's Howell snapped up a ticket to see Lourdes, who performs under the name Lolahol, play in an almost pitch-black room at Ormside Projects in South Bermondsey on Wednesday night.
And although Madge wasn't there, her artist brother Rocco was. He knocked back Stella from a can and gave his sister some of the loudest cheers in the room.
Lourdes clearly gets her punctuality from the Queen of Pop, as she arrived on stage at 9.45pm – 20 minutes late!
But her dreamy, lo-fi, alternative songs got a brilliant reaction from the audience, despite being nothing like the chart crowd-pleasers of her mum's heyday.
One sampled the Nineties garage song Sincere by MJ Cole, while others were more comparable to Gen Z darling PinkPantheress.
At one point she even covered Judy Garland's The Boy Next Door – and referring to her fans, she said with a laugh: "I feel like there are enough gays in the audience to know who that is."
Lourdes also revealed she secretly wrote one of her mum's songs.
Madonna released the tune It's So Cool as a bonus track on her 2009 Celebration greatest hits compilation.
And before singing it on stage, Lourdes claimed: "I wrote this song when I was like eight. That's why it sounds like a stupid person wrote it."
Her mum may be worth $850million, but to be fair to her, no one can accuse Lourdes of leaning too heavily on her nepotism credentials for a career.
Good on her.
DAVID SET ON HELP
NORMAL People actress Daisy Edgar-Jones and Industry star David Jonsson have teamed up with EE and Bafta to champion the next generation of British film-makers.
The duo are fronting Set The Stage, which allows young talent to attend a seven-day programme.
Daisy said: "I would have jumped at the chance to take part when I was starting out.
"I'm genuinely honoured to help encourage new voices."
In February, David, who grew up in Newham, East London, won his first Bafta – EE's Rising Star Award.
He said: "Coming from my end of London, it can be hard to see a path for yourself.
"It takes time, guidance and support. To support people like me as they take bold steps into storytelling is deeply moving."
Meg: Why I feel lifted
MEGHAN TRAINOR looked incredible in this cute playsuit at the Los Angeles premiere for US sitcom The Paper.
She took the opportunity to show off her new boobs – and who could blame her? They look amazing.

The All About That Bass singer has been open about her struggle with her body image and said she used a weight-loss jab to help jump-start her new lifestyle.
And she revealed she always had issues with her chest.
Speaking earlier this year, Meghan said: "I think I was born with saggy boobs. I swear, they were always looking at the ground. So this is a big deal for me.
"I'm getting a boob job. I'm getting a lift."
If I had the money, I would be doing exactly the same.
SABRINA Carpenter dropped her Man's Best Friend album this morning – and it is a dead cert to top the charts this time next week.
It features single Manchild, which went to No1, and comes just 12 months after her last chart-topping album Short n' Sweet.

ED FILTH QUIT ROW

EXTREME metal band Cradle Of Filth are in turmoil after two members quit during their world tour – and slammed the group's upcoming collaboration with Ed Sheeran.
They've only just kicked off the American leg, but guitarist Marek "Ashok" Smerda and his wife, vocalist Zoe Marie Federoff, have said they are leaving over low pay and stress.
Although he has said he will finish their dates in Central America, she has already abandoned the tour.
Marek wrote on Instagram: "We simply do not feel like Cradle can provide for our future, and in fact hinders it. Among other reasons it is a lot of work for relatively low pay, the stress is quite high, and we haven't felt for a while like this band is actually prioritising/caring about members."
Cradle worked with Ed, a huge fan of the English band, on a song last year. But the guitarist wants to be taken off the track. He added: "I have also asked all compositions of mine removed from upcoming releases including the Ed Sheeran collab.
"This song feels like foolish clown antics for me at this point anyways. First it was a charity single for kids, then for profit single, then on next album, and now who knows? And I just do not want to be involved any more, no disrespect to Ed Sheeran."
LIVE: KYLE BE BACK
JEREMY Kyle is back doing what he does best – mouthing off in front of a live audience.
The presenter is taking over the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on November 15 alongside his talkRADIO co-star Mike Graham.
Mike Graham And Jeremy Kyle's World Of Common Sense, I'm told, is going to be entertaining, hysterical and unpredictable.
Jezza told me: "We'll be bringing the common sense approach to all the bloody madness that's going on – for one night only. Well, unless people love it."
I'm sure they will.
Tickets going on sale today.
