JOHN Whaite openly revealed today how much money he made during his stint on OnlyFans.

The Strictly star spent 11 months on the adult site before calling it quits, but he certainly raked in the money.

Taking to Instagram to answer a series of Q&As on the topic, a fan of John's candidly asked him how much money he made from OF to see whether it could provide a viable income.

"How much money did you make (ball park) for someone who's thinking of [if] it's worth it," asked the anonymous user.

John answered the question honestly in a short video clip, recorded in the seat of a car.

"This is the tricky question isn't it, because I don't like to speak about personal wealth or personal income," John began.

"But I do think this is an elephant in the room. Some people think that I made millions from OnlyFans, and some people think that I made nothing.

"The truth, honestly, is that in the 11 months I turned over $270,00. So it can be a very lucrative platform, a very lucrative enterprise."

John then went on to mention that he believes he could have made even more money if he had spent more time marketing the fact he was on the platform.

"If I had spent more time marketing I could have probably doubled, tripled, quadrupled that.

"It is a very difficult job. It's not just about making content. It's about marketing and catching people's eyes, and giving them a reason to subscribe."

Despite making what most would consider to be an eye-watering sum of money in less than a year, John doesn't appear to believe he was extremely successful on OF – and would rather pursue other endeavours.

"I have a lot of respect for the people who are successful, but for me I'm not really money-driven like that.

"I find much more fulfilment working with my team at Ruff Puff Bakehouse."

After discovering this sense of purpose John, 36, quit the platform for the second time – an announcement he made on September 16th via Instagram.

He said: "I'm leaving OnlyFans. Life has shifted in a way I couldn't have predicted – Ruff Puff Bakehouse and Ruff Puff Brownies have taken up so much of my time, but in the best way possible.

"They've reminded me of a talent I'd neglected, and given me a new respect for the craft that first set me on this path all those years ago."

Prior to becoming a successful bakery owner John competed on Strictly Come Dancing, as well as The Great British Bake Off.

He won the much-loved baking show back in 2012, and made it all the way to the 2021 Strictly final as a part of the show's first same-sex male partnership.
